Abstract

The automotive environment requires high-power architectures for motor control platforms, such as electric power steering (EPS) and service pumps, as well as power conversion systems, such as DC-DC converters. To improve efficiency and thermal performance, while maintaining good switching characteristics and reducing the high frequency emission rate, STMicroelectronics (ST) has developed a new STPOWER STripFET F8 40V technology, AEC-Q101 qualified. Dedicated application tests were performed with a synchronous buck converter to show the device performance.
