Abstract

With a peak speed of 280.6 TFlops/s IBM BlueGene/L cluster putting into use, high-performance computers are faced with the rapid development and dual-core processor computers allow users to face the emergence of ubiquitous parallel. How to change existing serial algorithms into parallel algorithms and how to implement parallel algorithms on multi-core computer are urgent task for the development of high-performance computing. This paper tries to parallel genetic annealing algorithm (GAA) by using OpenMP on four-core compute, and experiment result shows that the performance has been significantly improved.
