Abstract

The author shares her challenging experience of being a caretaker over the course of 10 months for her mother, who had amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. She shares her story so that others who may find themselves in an unimaginable situation of loss know that there is hope, and the possibility to find peace when you allow yourself to shift your perspective on how you handle obstacles in life.
