Abstract
The marine environmental factors are systematically analyzed for influencing the CSBD quality, and the recommended and minimum requirements of sea conditions are respectively revealed for collecting Crowdsourced Bathymetry Data (CSBD). Firstly, the main environmental factors that affect the CSBD accuracy are analyzed, including direct factors (such as sound velocity and ocean tide) and indirect factors (like wind and waves). Secondly, the random models for simulating wind and waves are established, meanwhile the statistical models for estimating sound velocity and ocean tide are constructed. Thus, the ship’s attitude, sound velocity and tidal change under the different sea condition are calculated quantitatively, and the CSBD accuracy is estimated under the corresponding conditions. Finally, the relation between CSBD accuracy and marine environmental factors is constructed. The experimental results demonstrate that: (1) The marine environmental factor that has the greatest impact on the accuracy of the CSBD is wind and wave. Under the condition of level-3 wind and level-2 wave, the CSBD quality can meet the specification requirements. (2) WOA 18 model can effectively improve the CSBD accuracy. And the corrected SVP error can meet the requirements. (3) The tidal value is calculated by DTU10 model, of which the accuracy is about 0.11m.
