Abstract

Nowadays, most of microwave applications require antenna conformation and by the way curved surfaces. Low weight, low cost and user-friendly are the other ones. As a solution the laboratory has developed a new technology based on metallized foam. This new technique offers several advantages and new possibilities in the design of 2D and 3D antennas. In order to demonstrate these abilities, several examples dealing with filar, flat and finally 3D antennas are provided and discussed in the paper.
