Cognitive processing of information at the user nodes is proposed as a potential solution to this information overflow problem. These nodes we will call Intelligent Nodes [Dawidowicz, 2001]. This paper will introduce the architecture of an Intelligent Node and will demonstrate its hierarchical scalability across all echelons and Battlefield Functional Areas.
