The bit error rate (BER) is calculated for different values of the CFO and modulation techniques over the Rayleigh Channel. Abstract

Carrier Frequency Offset (CFO) is the main cause of the interference among the carriers leading to the Inter Carrier Interference (ICI). CFO is one of the drawbacks in orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) which limits its performance and bandwidth efficiency and needs to be mitigated. OFDM system incorporated with multiple input multiple output (MIMO) systems can drastically reduce the effects of CFO and make the transmission more robust and reliable.
