Abstract

This paper presents detailed small signal modelling and closed loop control of non-isolated impulse commutated series LC resonance based half-bridge current-fed dc/dc converter achieving zero current switching (ZCS) of the semiconductor devices for high-voltage gain applications. State-space averaging technique is introduced to derive the transfer functions and implement a controller design of current fed non-isolated voltage doubler with series LC resonant adopting operated through the frequency modulation. Two-loop average current control is designed and implemented to evaluate and demonstrate the transient performance of the converter. Complete design procedure is presented.
