Abstract
Recent work suggests that we are close to the 50% mark for freely available articles (Archambault et al., 2013, Jamali and Nabavi, 2015). Given that over 80% of faculty surveyed said that they would search for a freely available version if they do not have immediate access via the library (Wolff et al., 2016) it is natural to wonder if the rise of articles could have reduced our faculty’s dependence on the library for access of articles.
