Abstract

Elastic bending analysis of a FGM plate using finite element method is presented. The graded material properties of FGM plate are modelled using layer-wise variation of material composition in thickness direction. The bending behavior of FGM plate is carried out using first order shear deformation theory with five degree of freedom. The mechanical properties of FGM plate are calculated using power law and Mori-Tanka Method.
