Abstract

This paper aims to conduct a performance analysis of 5G multi-carrier systems using the Alpha-Mu and Kappa-Mu generalized fading channels an1d the OFDM-IM, GFDM-IM, and FBMC-IM multi-carrier modulation techniques. It develops a function that generates channel coefficients for the Alpha-Mu and Kappa-Mu channels which can be used for simulations. Then we estimated the channel error and plot BER vs SNR for the OFDM-IM, GFDM-IM, and FBMC-IM and analyzed the effect of different values of CSI on the performance of the channels.
