Contribution of the National University of Mexico to Electric Vehicle Technology

Abstract

This paper describes work carried out at the National University of Mexico in a program of battery electric vehicle development. Innovations incorporated in the prototypes of two small busses and a van are discussed. These include a hydro-pneumatic regenerative braking system, a power steering energy economizer, and a 180deg interval steering system for exceptional maneuverability
