Abstract
Heart attack and Seizures pose a serious threat, if not monitored and necessary preventive steps are not taken in-time it may lead to loss of life. Continuous monitoring of the patient is possible by measuring Electroencephalography (EEG), Electro-Cardiography (ECG). The work presented in this paper deals with a novel approach to monitor the patient continuously while he/she performing daily routine activities. An accelerometer, gyroscope, GSR (galvanic skin response) and hate rate measurement are used in a multimodal approach for the identification of threat. The proposed method uses exploratory data analysis (EDA) approach to synthesis the data extracted from the accelerometer and the gyroscope. Using a threshold limit an alerting system then sends signal to the nearest helpline to save the patient at risk.
