As a result of the calculations, the possibility of improving the efficiency of individual parts of units was revealed, pilot runs on the units were carried out to confirm. During the pilot run on the AVT-3 unit, a restriction was revealed on regulating the temperature of the cube of the steam column, which affects the stabilization of the kerosene fraction beginning boiling point. During the pilot run at the AT-2 unit, it was revealed that an increase in steam consumption in the main atmospheric oil distillation column contributes to a decrease in the content of light fractions in straight-run fuel, while the yields of gasoline and kerosene-gasoil fractions increase. Abstract

The article shows examples of the use of Aspen Hysys software for optimization of the AVT-3 and AT-2 crude oil distillation units at Atyrau Oil Refinery.
