La version arabe (Ghāyat al-ḥakīm) et la version latine du Picatrix: Points communs et divergences

Abstract

Although Ghayat al-hakim and his Latin translation known as Picatrix became famous in their respective areas of diffusion, no systematic comparison between the Arabic text and the Latin version has yet been made. Comparison of the two texts shows that the translation remained broadly faithful to the original and that many observable differences are related to cultural and religious context.
