Abstract
We investigate the pressure dependence of the Brillouin frequency shift in plastic optical fibers, which shows hysteresis. The pressure-dependence coefficient (mitigated hysteresis) is +4.3 MHz/MPa, the absolute value of which is 5.8 times larger than that of bare silica fibers.
