Abstract
An original method - based on the discretization of the Plane Wave Spectrum (PWS) - for propagation modeling within waveguides, cavities, and/or structures with dielectric or conducting curved interfaces, is presented. This method is called Spectral Ray Tracking (SRT) and uses the PWS of the source fields truncated by the guide or cavity aperture. Fields at any observation point in any complex media are expressed as a discrete sum of all contributions from ray tubes, which are tracked within the propagation environment following the usual Geometrical Optics rules. The calibration uses an adaptive calculus method in the context of the multiple reflections that is faster and less hungry in memory space than fixed sampling rate used in classic methods. Moreover, it shows promising of numerical efficiency and precision.
