Abstract

In the paper influence of selected factors on properties of inductors operating in the buck converter is considered. It is investigated how ambient temperature, the length of the air-gap and the average value of current influence on inductance of the inductor and energy gathered in this element. Additionally, influence of the length of the air-gap in the core of the inductor, frequency and the duty cycle on characteristics of the buck converter is analysed. Theoretical considerations are illustrated with the results of calculations and measurements.
