The analysis of the results of practical firing from the ZU-23 twin anti- aircraft artillery mount was carried out. According to the developed methodology using the methods of planning the experiment, a study was conducted taking into account two factors. Statistical analysis methods were used to process the experimental data using MS Excel. As a result of processing the data of the experimental study, an approximating function was determined that describes the dependence of the initial velocity of the projectile on the wear of the bore and the temperature of the powder charge. It has been established that the approximating function is statistically reliable, adequate, and allows predicting the change in the initial velocity of the projectile. The calculation of the degree of influence of these factors on the ballistic characteristics of the gun is made using standardized coefficients.
