The results of the arcing fault location experiment show that the time difference error of EMR signals is less than 0.2ns. Abstract

The accurate location of arcing faults is of great significance to ensure the stable operation of the power system. Normally, arc discharge will radiate outward high-frequency electromagnetic signals. In this paper, an arcing fault location method based on Electromagnetic Radiation (EMR) signals and Time Difference of Arrival (TDOA) is proposed.
