Abstract

This work presents the inverted F-shaped Frequency Reconfigurable Monopole Antenna, fabricated on low cost 1.6-mm thick dielectric substrate (FR4) having a partial ground plane. The designed antenna resonates at three single band frequency modes (2.1 GHz, 2.67 GHz and 3.8 GHz) as well as two dual band frequency modes (2.6 GHz, 5.5 GHz / 2.4 GHz, 5.3 GHz) using three switches.
