The organization went through different stages throughout the 19th century. With the establishment of the Gendarmerie Organization, the training of the gendarmerie came to the fore, within this framework, the first modern gendarmerie school was established in Salonika in 1904. This school, which was based on the model of Western-style education model, was moved to Istanbul after the declaration of the Constitutional Monarchy II. The gendarmerie officer training tradition, which started with the Ottoman Empire, continued in the Republic Period. When the pre-Republic gendarmerie curriculum is examined, it is seen that the programs were affected by the gendarmerie education systems of Western countries. Needs changing in direct relation to the Republic paved the way to revise the education programs of the gendarmerie officer schools. In order to understand the gendarmerie officer training philosophy in the first years of the Republic, the curriculum of these schools should be evaluated. The aim of this study is to evaluate the 1937 Gendarmerie Officer School Curriculum. The historical method was used in the research. The data was obtained through document review.
