Abstract

The authors describe low-voltage pulsers which combine both batteries and chemical double-layer (CDL) capacitors to achieve long-duration (>1 s), high-power pulses which could be suitable for powering a number of devices such as EMLs, solid-state laser arrays and magnetic-field coils.
