Abstract
The results of automated image processing of band-specific photographic (510-600, 600-700 nm), radar (9.6 cm), multispectral scanner (560-810 nm), and panchromatic photographic (450-700 nm) space images of the Noril'sk ore region at scales ranging from 1:200,000 to 1:50,000 are reported. Emphasis of the exploration effort is on identification of annular structures, faults of northeasterly and northwesterly strike, and study of the Talnakh graben zone. Sectors promising for copper-nickel mineralization were detected as a result of this work.
