Abstract

Transport systems need to represent and analyze data from multiple sources and networks to dynamically respond to demands and operate more efficiently. But deploying ad-hoc platforms could be very expensive and ineffective in the long run. It is preferable to focus on data availability and smart data analysis and to develop interoperability strategies suitable for smart mobility based on open standards and allowing seamless integration of third-party systems and custom applications. This paper highlights the opportunity to take advantage of emerging technologies, like the open-source data platforms and to use services for data linked queries in cities, and especially in the domain of smart mobility systems.
