Abstract

Electric truck charging will lead to new challenges for the power grid, which have been hardly addressed in the literature so far. However, due to the still low penetration level of electric trucks, it is difficult to yet analyze the grid impact of their charging profiles today based on the practical experiences. This paper, therefore, proposes an approach to integrate truck charging into time series-based probabilistic grid analysis. The applicability of the approach is demonstrated using a real industrial medium voltage grid from Germany.
