The objective was to create and experience an Aesthetic Workshop, with art and local cultures as drivers of sensitivities. This article is an excerpt from a research carried out in a rural public school with 19 children from the 2 nd year of elementary school l, in the municipality of Garuva, Santa Catarina. The methodological approach was the narrative, as the collection and production of data was based on the voices of the children, permeated by art and its cultural expressions. The analysis was based on the observation and interaction of the teacher-researchers and on narrative and production processes of the children.
