Abstract

In general, the safety against derailment is evaluated by derailment coefficient that is defined by Lateral force (L)/ Vertical force (V). Conventionally these forces are measured by special wheelset called LV wheelset only at the timing to secure the safety of newly produced vehicle or newly constructed tracks. On the other hand the authors developed remote monitoring system of measuring these forces from track side or vehicle in commercial line.
