Abstract
The paper presents an idea of a distributed data environment built from the current state of the art technologies available for the (semantic) Web. The main idea is to integrate Web sources into a (virtual) global repository being queried by users instead of particular sources. For the sources might provide data of a different quality, a novel reputation system is proposed specially for the distributed source environment handling differences in the quality of the sources. The quality of the sources is affected by many components that are combined into a measure influencing the reputation of sources. The global repository is designed not only to passively collect data, but also to provide valuable feedback to the sources. The formalism used for description of the global repository is a generalization of the binary matrix formalism, which is narrowly connected with the ideas of the semantic Web.
