Abstract

Nydia and I are watching television when a news bulletin comes on saying that somebody just shot a government official in Los Angeles. The official was making a speech. A “suspect” was seized on the spot. The suspect says he is innocent despite the fact that the cameras caught him in the act. So many televised deaths lately, I am too numbed to react. A further loss of spirit is what I feel....
