Adlerian Case Conceptualization and Therapy: The Pattern-Focused Approach

Abstract:Among the new and evidence-based approaches to the practice of Adlerian therapy is pattern-focused Adlerian therapy and its related pattern-focused Adlerian case conceptualization. This article compares this pattern-focused approach to other approaches to conceptualizing and practicing Adlerian therapy. The clinical value, indications, counterindications, and evidence basis of this new approach are described. Case material illustrates similarities and differences between these approaches.
