Abstract

Because of the low detection accuracy of low-rate Distributed Denial of Service (LDDoS) attacks in Software Defined Networks (SDN) in cloud environments, there is a lack of unified frameworks for the data plane, and control plane. To solve the problems of detection and defense against Low-rate DDoS attacks, a unified detection framework for Low-rate DDoS is proposed. The benefit behind SDN is centralizing on the controller the management of the network and the ability to use a custom application for controlling the ingress traffic.
