Abstract

In the literature a technique for sidelobe suppression is presented that utilizes product of two polynomials. In this paper, a method is presented for efficient sidelobe suppression by proper selection of sidelobe region. For this purpose, it is proposed to observe the radiation pattern of the first polynomial to find out the position of right and left nulls adjacent to the main beam. The region outside these nulls is proposed to be utilized for sidelobe region while finding the weights of second polynomial that is meant for sidelobe suppression.
