Because of this situation, social isolation was one of the measures adopted, leaving the population at home for long periods. This situation tends to increase the risk of cases of violence, including against women. This study discusses violence against women during the COVID-19 pandemic in Brazil. data from the Santos Dumont Institute of 2020, showed a considerable increase in domestic violence in the quarantine period in Brazil, namely: Bodily injury + 34.1%; Threats + 54.3%; Rape + 100% and Feminicide grew 300%.
