Abstract

Mortars are building materials with adhesion and hardening properties, obtained from the homogeneous mixture of one or more binders, aggregate and water, and may contain additives. The additives are added in a low percentage to the mortars aiming at improvement in the rheological, physical, chemical and mechanical properties, besides correcting possible errors during handling and execution of the mass. Its high cost justifies the search for new non-conventional materials, which contribute to the improvement and correction of traces of mortars, also having a low cost.
