Abstract

Nowadays, electric mobility has been the subject of several discussions in various segments, although in Brazil, the electric vehicles sector is not evolved in comparison to more developed countries such as in Europe, in the USA and Asian Powers. In Brazil, investments regarding to new technology are low and the infrastructure requested by it is not yet present, which is remarkable, since the number of charging points (recharging stations) is limited, as well as the acceptance of the electric vehicle at the national automotive market, so when the demand increase, that is expected as soon as the electrics vehicles are more often and accessible in the market, there will be several problems in the energy quality, mainly on the distribution system. The aim of this paper is to expose and analyze what would be the impacts generated by the insertion of electric vehicles in the Electric System, like energy quality.
