Abstract

We present a review of the CMS search for new high-mass resonances decaying to lepton pair. The search uses pp collision data at a centre-of-mass energy of s=13 Tev collected in 2016 by the CMS experiment at the LHC, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 35.9 fb−1 and 36.3 fb−1 for electrons and muons, respectively [1]. These data were interpreted in a simplified model of dark matter production via a vector or axial-vector mediator, limits at 95% confidence level are obtained on the masses of the dark matter particle and its mediator.
