Implementing ICT for Tourists with Disabilities

Abstract

The tourism industry plays a significant role in national and urban economies. Attracting more tourists to cities has always been a vital subject for governments. Further, people with disabilities have the potential to be a significant and growing group of tourists. This paper aims to introduce a process to design a mobile application for tourists with disabilities. As a first step, existing applications for people with disabilities were reviewed. The common features were merged and new features for a mobile application suggested. Finally, the new features were generated based on the phases of designing a mobile application.
