Abstract

We have proposed a control method for reducing energy consumption of pumps in multi source district heating and cooling system. The method consists of an optimization technology and a control technology to compensate for modeling error. To clarify the effectiveness of the method, the energy saving effect was evaluated in the diversified network configurations and specifications of heating and cooling systems. In the most effective case, the simulation results show the method is able to reduce 8.00 – 10.08% of the total energy consumption of pumps in all cases.
