Abstract

The development of the two-stage magnetron allows extending the range of traditional possibilities of classical design magnetrons. By analogy with some microwave tubes (for example, TWT O type) which can combine the pulsed and continuous operation modes (multifunctional mode) the two stage magnetron is a tube in which takes place combination of two magnetrons: usual (classical) and inverted magnetrons. As a result we have a new multifunctional tube with improved gain-frequency characteristics.
