Various research works have proved relation of employees’ motivation and work performance. However, No previous research was conducted in contemporary Latvia aiming at IT specialists. The research is based on the results of survey of 1200 IT professionals in Latvia. Besides motivation factors, personal characteristics of Latvian IT professionals was given with the use of adapted Schwarz questionnaire. Abstract
