Abstract

The rapid development of E-sports industry directly leads to an emergent education system called ‘E-sports Education’. It means both opportunities and challenges to many educational institutions including university, vocational school and other educational companies. In terms of opportunity, the new field create millions of job vacancy, but the challenges of it are also obvious that how to cultivate talents to fulfil the demand of the E-sports market. So, the methodology in E-sports education is quite important in this industry. This paper starts from the background of E-sports education after the expansion of E-sports industry in China. In the second part, the importance of interdisciplinary education will be analyzed in the essence of E-sports.
