Abstract
The classic Reynolds flocking model is formally analysed, with results presented and discussed. Two measurements of flocking, flock area and polarisation are given. The number of birds is identified as the major factor that impacts both of these measurements. Remaining flocking model rules are considered in terms of their impact on flock area, with predicted results compared against experimental observations.
