The results have shown that under the conditions of this test, by using WEDM-HS machining 1060Al, the oxide film on the surface is formed Al2O3 phase. And gradually decreasing the pulse width, the phase composition of the oxide film will not change. Morphology of the oxide film on the surface is made up of micron order of magnitude of the honeycomb holes. Abstract
In order to study the oxide film of 1060 aluminum (Al) by using high-speed wire electrical discharge machining (WEDM-HS), XRD, SEM and Marr profile measuring instrument were used to observe the oxide film on the surface of the phase composition, surface morphology and roughness.
