Art at the End of the World

Abstract

Bernice Murphy, Curator of Contemporary Art at the Gallery organized Australian Perspecta, the exhibition of arts represented by sculpture, prints, videotapes and photographs and Painting that predominated over the other media. Sixty-five Australian artists were represented, and their works, without being modish or trend-spotting, was a juxtaposition that gave them a relevance and a coherence that is new.
