Abstract

Full characterization of quantum system is both necessary and overwhelming task as complexity grows. In our letter we propose a simple experimental scheme based on compressed sensing to characterize close to pure many-level quantum systems with reasonable accuracy. Our technique could efficiently characterize quantum sources, channels and systems.
