Proposed antenna impedance bandwidth is from 2.35 to 12.9 GHz range except the frequencies on single notched bands of 2.9 to 3.8 GHz. The proposed antenna is of compact size 32mm × 36mm × 1.6mm. VSWR < 2 for total performing frequency spectrum range except for the single band rejection. Abstract

In this paper, a circular shaped Microstrip patch antenna is investigated with single band notch characteristics for use in applications in Bluetooth (2.4 to 2.485), Wi- Fi (2.4 to 5.8 GHz), Ultra wideband (UWB) (3.1 to 10.6 GHz) and X-band (8 to 12 GHz) respectively.
