The historical circumstances of the disagreement between Christianity and Judaism have a direct relationship with the contents of this controversy: in the early life of Christianity the writings were apologetic, and during the Christian empire were repeated the anti-Jewish topics. The use of the literary forms depended on the purpose and the recipients of the works.
