Abstract
This research is a study of route planning to increase transportation efficiency with the aim of analyzing freight routing and comparing freight costs first after the transportation route is completed by analyzing the appropriate transportation routes because the company has problems with shipping delays, which means that customers have to wait for goods and because of waiting that cause increased costs due to waiting penalties. Because you can’t control your time. Causes shipping errors due to outsourcing of vehicles through external contractors. The researchers then conducted a study of the delivery route, where the researchers used flow charts to get an overview of the company’s shipping process and then collect customer address information. These include delivery addresses, shipping cycles being stored, the time that customers receive estimated items in each cycle, and customer penalties, all of which are recorded in Microsoft Excel/Google maps, and then explore shipping routes separately from the actual shipping date of each cycle. Two types: inquiries from transport drivers who are hired for transport, and using Google Maps to explore routes and estimates to be classified as databases, and then set them as standards for transportation, after which the researchers conducted a three-month trial of the test results, which showed that they were more effective at delivering and reducing complaints from customers, reducing the problem of not being delivered on time to a decrease. 0.9% and no charges incurred as a result of slow delivery due to force majeure acceptable to customers. The results of this research conclude that by shipping the product from the company to the customer’s hands, it has improved efficiency and can also control delivery time. This includes reducing the problem of waiting fees for customer companies and also reducing costs caused by outsourcing of transportation, and the company can control the time of delivery of goods by the customer’s need. We look forward to promoting the process even further and applying it to future operations to reduce shipping costs.
