Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to present setting and commissioning guidelines to achieve reliable (i.e., dependable and secure) generator 100% stator ground fault protection for large high-impedance grounded generators. Using these guidelines, a recent generator relay upgrade project is used as an example of the setting calculations where a reliable generator 100% stator ground fault protection is attained.
